I co-founded Big Gay Market with Amanda Arafat in June of 2021. We were full of rage over the hateful anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation being introduced in Arkansas at the time.
What started as a “quaint backyard bake and art sale” with the purpose of donating funds to inTransitive AR, has now grown into a Big Gay brand of its own. As of summer 2022 we have successfully put on six events that have put nearly $100k directly into queer makers’ pockets.
